Bean Bag Toss Game – Cornhole

The famous Cornhole game from America!

This tossing game is played with two teams of 1-2 players each. The boards with holes are placed about four meters apart when there are four players, and each team takes turns throwing their bean bags onto the opposite board. After all players have thrown their four bags, the points are counted. A bag that goes through the hole is worth 3 points, while a bag that remains on the board earns 1 point. The team that reaches 21 points first wins.

Bean Bag Toss (Bohnentasche)

Bean bag can be played either as singles or in teams of two. It can be played both outdoors and indoors. To start, place the boards on a flat surface about 4 meters apart. Decide which player/team goes first. If playing as teams, each team faces the other. If playing individually, you always throw from the same side (next to each other). Both feet must stay behind the front edge of the board when throwing. Players take turns throwing their bags at the opposite board. Once all bags have been thrown, the points are counted, and the turn passes to the players on the other side. If playing as individuals, move to the other board and continue from there. The first player/team to reach 21 points (or more) wins.

Scoring Rules:

• A bag that goes through the hole scores 3 points.
• A bag that remains on the board scores 1 point.
  In this game, only one player/team earns points per round based on the difference in score between the two players/teams. The points are added up and compared to the opponent’s. For example: If Player A scores 6 points and Player B scores 4 points, Player A gets 2 points for that round. If both players score 6 points, no points are awarded for that round.

If a bag bounces off the ground and then lands on the board, it should be removed from play before the next bag is thrown. If a bag is hanging off the edge and touching the ground, it should also be removed from the game. If a bag is resting on the edge and supported by a bag on the ground, decide by lifting the board. If the bag stays on the board, it counts; otherwise, it should be removed from play.
